OBITUARY.
DIED
At her residence, “Oak Hill,” Jefferson county, Miss., on Monday, the 19th May, 1851, at 7½ o’clock, A. M., Mrs. Jane Brown, widow of the late I. J. W. Ross, and last surviving child of the late Capt., Isaac Ross, aged sixty-five years and seven months.
If to die in the full belief, resignation, trust and faith in the blessed promises of our Creator and Redeemer; to endure patiently all the painful afflictions of her last illness; to have been devotedly watched over by her numerous family of children and grand children, should not only assuage the pangs of this life, but lighten our sorrows on parting with them for a happier home; then, indeed has the loss of this time-honored and affectionate mother caused a number of sorrowing hearts to mourn her sad, but not untimely end.
